The Head Cowgirl - Judith Ames
The story of Cowgirl Chocolates began in 1995 when Marilyn Lysohir decided to take a break from her art career and do some experimental cooking in her kitchen. Marilyn had a passion for good, gourmet chocolate and having worked in a candy store in her younger years, she decided to experiment with quality chocolate and spicy spices. No one was combining the two, so she thought it was a worthy experiment. Fast forward a few years and Cowgirl Chocolates started to win awards in National competitions. She was featured on the Food Channel and CNBC and her shipments saw world wide appeal. Cowgirl Chocolates has won a total of 19 product awards and 2 packaging awards. We have also been featured on the Food Network on "Unwrapped" and "Extreme Cuisine" and on CNBC "On the Money", and has been written up in the New York Times, InStyle, the Toronto Star among others.
After 20 years, Marilyn has decided it is time to pass the baton to a new head cowgirl, and I was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time.
My journey with gourmet chocolate began in 1981, when I interviewed with a small, family chocolate company in Carlsbad, California. I couldn’t accept the job due to my college schedule, but I was hooked by the chocolate bug. Having been a real cowgirl and in the horse industry for over 35 years, this seemed like a natural transition from my horse business. I sold my farm in 2017 and was ready for my next challenge.
Cowgirl Chocolates has moved from Idaho to my home in Pilot Point, Texas, January 2018 and joining my International tea shop – 9 Lives Tea House. We are located on the Old Pilot Point Square: 106 W. Received them today - they smell AMAZING!! Taking everything to not eat the box!! Kicking myself that I didn't order more! :( ... Thanks,
Hilary (Lewis) Zorn
FYI: Last month I ordered about a dozen different brands of hot chocolate mixes to have a tasting contest among friends. Yours won and that's the reason why I placed this order.
I love your truffles and that is why I ordered them again. Their smoothness, creaminess, fillings, heat are just delicious. This time I also ordered your slow roasted peanut butter peanut brittle. Well, all I can say is WOW!!!!! OMG it is AMAZING! Oh my lord it is sinfuuly awesome. I wish I ordered the bigger size, yet at the same time I am glad I did not. It is sooooo hard to just take a piece or two and put it away. I had to put it out of the room I was in so I would not eat it all in one sitting. I will definately have to order a few pounds next time I order which I am sure will be fairly soon. Thanks for making such an outstanding WOW product. Yum Yum.
My friend, Tricia of Augusta, GA just sent an assortment of your scrumptious truffles as a thank you gift. So now I thank you for finding your passion, and creating an entire industry of spiced chocolate. I enjoy chocolate every day and have sampled from SoHo to San Fransisco, but my new favorite is from Idaho!

Cowgirl Chocolates are made from premium chocolate with no additives or preservatives and will begin to soften at 76 degrees. Please arrange to be at home at delivery time so the chocolates don't sit in the sun. Many customers ship to their place of work. Although we cold-pack chocolates for hot weather shipping, leaving the package in the sun can damage the chocolate.
Questions: Call 833-793-3871 to confirm shipping prices, shipping to a foreign country, or if you need your order by a certain date.
